About CEC
What tourism needs are communicators.
We play our part in communicating "Experience the charm of Kyoto: a place you will want to visit again and again."
The Cultural Edu-tourism Council (CEC) is an organisation of foreign students visiting Kyoto from all over the world and 'ambassadors' - guides made up of Japanese students - who use their own experience and knowledge to guide visitors through cultural tourism in Kyoto in various languages.

Organization overview
A for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide educational travel experiences to foreign tourists interested in Japanese culture and history. We train multilingual guides and plan and operate tours and workshops that introduce local cultural heritage, traditional performing arts, food culture, etc. In cooperation with professionals from various fields, we promote interaction with tourists and contribute to building mutual understanding and friendship. We aim to communicate the charms of Japan to the world and increase the appeal of Kyoto Prefecture in the international community. By conducting practical activities together with students and exchange students, we will develop human resources who can play an active role in society.
