The Cultural Edu-tourism Council (CEC) has received the Kinki Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry Director's Award and the Kyoto Hokuto Shinkin Bank Award at the 13th Kyoto Women's Entrepreneur Awards .
I feel that this award is a gift from all of the people who founded CEC, including all of our current 40 members.
CEC aims to create a virtuous cycle of culture, tourism, and the economy , and operates under the concept of providing opportunities for students to learn through work and creating sustainable jobs for those involved in crafts .
Two years ago, our project was selected as a project by the Japan Tourism Agency, and we have been working on it in earnest. It has not been an easy road, but we have worked together with our colleagues to shape it step by step, and I believe this is what has led to us receiving this award.
Although it is happening little by little, the students are learning the importance of teamwork and the power of working together , and I am very pleased that CEC's activities are leading to tangible results.
Encouraged by this award, all at CEC will continue to work even harder to revitalize the local culture and economy, and to create learning environments for the next generation.
We would like to thank you for your continued kind support.
