#1 Meet at the Nyakuoji Shrine.
After paying your respects, hike, start!
Few people climb from the trail on the Wakaoji Shrine side, so the walk is relatively easy. The trail leads to the resting place of Doshisha University founder Niijima Jo, his wife Yae Niijima and other Doshisha-related missionaries.
#2 Forest bathing
While enjoying the forest bathing, it takes about 50 minutes to reach the summit of Mount Daimonji.
You can enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Kyoto. Photo time!
There is an observation bench at the summit.
Here you can boil water and make coffee. Eat the snacks you have brought with you (onigiri, snacks, etc.). Coffee at the summit is exceptional!
#3 Descending
Follow the path back down the mountain you have climbed.
Allow 45 minutes for the return journey.
#4 Nyakuoji Shrine
Arrive at the Nyakuoji Shrine! Good work!
