Up to 21 days prior (inclusive): 30%

20-8 days ago. 50%

7 to 3 days ago. 70%

2 days before - on the day (before the start time): 100%

No notice cancellation / 100% after start

*A reservation is considered confirmed when we contact you (in writing or by email, etc.) to confirm your reservation after you have made a formal application.

*Cancellations will only be handled on the same day if received during business hours .

* The customer will be responsible for any bank transfer fees incurred during refunds.

- Please be careful not to cause trouble to other pedestrians by walking in a wide circle.

・The event will be held rain or shine. If a warning or advisory is issued, the event will be canceled. If the event is canceled, you will be notified by 8:00 p.m. the night before the start time.

・There is no parking lot. Please come by public transportation.

・If you wish to purchase optional insurance or mountain insurance, please purchase it yourself.

#1 Gather at Wakaoji Shrine.

After praying, we start hiking!

Since not many people climb the trail from Wakaoji Shrine side, it is relatively easy to walk.

As you walk along the mountain trail, you will come across the resting place of Doshisha University founder Niijima Jo, his wife Niijima Yae, and missionaries connected to Doshisha.

#2 Forest bathing

After enjoying the forest bathing, you will reach the summit of Mt. Daimonji in about 50 minutes.

You can see the whole city of Kyoto. Time for photos!

There is an observation bench at the top of the mountain.

Here, we boil water and make coffee. We eat the snacks we brought with us (rice balls, snacks, etc.). Drinking coffee at the top of the mountain is something else!

#3 Descending

We descend the same path we came up on.

Allow about 45 minutes for the return journey.
